Background Check Status Information
Update Contact Details: Displays when contact is missing data fields. Clicking on this status brings you to the Contact Profile screen where the required fields need to be completed in order to move past this status.
Download Documents: Displays when contact has all data fields filled out, but all required documents have not yet been downloaded for the contact. Clicking on this status brings you to the "How it Works" screen.
Upload Completed Documents: Displays when contact has downloaded the required documents for the selected background check company, but the documents have not yet been uploaded. Clicking on this status brings you to the "Upload Completed Documents" screen.
Submit for Background Check: Displays when user has uploaded all completed required documents for the selected background check company. Clicking on this status brings you to the existing submit for background check screen.
No Action Required: Displays while a background check is in a submitted status.
Due to Expire - Resubmit: Displays when contact has the required documents for a background check previously uploaded and is within the 60 day renewal window. Clicking this status brings you to the existing submit for background check screen.
Expired - Resubmit: Displays when contact has the required documents for a background check previously uploaded, the expiration date has passed and they have not since been submitted for a background check. Clicking this status brings you to the existing submit for background check screen.

Clicking this status brings up the existing, relevant screen providing additional instruction.
Ready for Review: The background check needs to be reviewed for accuracy by the contact, they are given 6 business days to review the information on the background check to determine the next step.
If you do not agree with the information found on the background check, you have the right to dispute the accuracy or completeness of any information contained in the report. Disputes are handled by the background check company directly and you would need to contact them for further assistance.
If you agree that the charges are accurate and valid but would like the appeals committee to hear your explanation and consider a score adjustment, please fill out the form “Request for Review to Appeal” and email it to email address: email@example.com (form can be found in the Appeals article).
Needs Attention: There was an issue with the background check submitted for this contact. You will need to verify the contacts Date of Birth, Social Security Number and Legal Name (first, middle and last) as it appears on their Social Security Card.
