Uploading Required Documentation
Before you submit a contact for a background check through your Aspen iRecord® account, required documents will need to be completed for this individual.
Step 1: Login to your Aspen iRecord® account and click on the Contacts tab.
If all required fields have been completed for the individual, the Background Check Status column will reflect "Download Documents", click on the link to download the required documents.
Note: You can also click on the contacts name that you will be submitting for a background check, their name is a hyper link and it will take you to their contact profile. If all required fields have been completed for the individual, click on the "Download Background Check Documents" link in the Actions box to download the required documents.
Step 2: Click on the Download Documents tab and then click on the provided download links for the Background Check Authorization Template and the SSA-89 Form. (Some information will be pre-populated on the form)
Step 3: Print the forms that you downloaded, fill them out and wet sign them with ink. No electronic signatures.
Reminder: For your security, once the form is uploaded you will no longer have visibility of it. You should keep a copy of the completed SSA-89 form for your own records in the event you need to review at any point in the future.
Step 4: Click on the Upload Completed Documents tab and then click on the designated upload links for each set of forms.
Step 5: Remember to click the checkbox (showing in the screenshot below) and click on "Complete SSA-89 Upload" in order to move forward.
Step 6: When the required documentation has been successfully uploaded, the button at the bottom of the screen "Submit for Background Check" will turn green and allow you to move forward with the background check submission.
