Understanding your ABC#:
Your ABC # is unique and personal to you. Each contact that is submitted for a background check will receive a unique ABC#. The term ABC stands for Assigned Background Compliance Number.
Understand the Parts of an ABC#
The first two letters in an ABC # represent the State where the contact is living at the time of their ABC# was assigned to them. The next five numbers are their Zip code. The last four numbers are a randomly generated unique identifier.
Note: Once generated, the ABC# number will never change for that contact.
To Locate the ABC#:
After logging into your Aspen iRecord® account, click on the ‘Contacts’ tab. Next, select the contact name hyperlink for the contact you wish to view.
View the ABC#
The ABC# is located at the bottom of the page under the section Individual Compliance Details.
Note: You will view N/A until the Individual Compliance Details have been submitted and the results of the background check has returned.
Note: You will need to provide the contact with their ABC# once it is generated. It is not automatically emailed to them.
If you are listed as a contact within an organization and do not have the ability to login to the Aspen iRecord® account, you will need to contact them for this information.
