Downgrade Subscription Plan
This is a self-service option that can be completed by using a link within the Aspen iRecord® account. (Not applicable for Promotion Code Customers)
If you have selected the Growing Business subscription plan and later find that you no longer need to purchase multiple background checks, you can downgrade to the Starter subscription plan.
An Annual Subscription Plan Fee of $50.00 will then apply to each year commencing on your annual renewal date.
Important: The downgrade will be applied to your next account renewal. However, the purchase of more than one background check or transfer of another contact's background check into the account, before the next account renewal, will automatically revert the subscription plan to Standard Plus.
The Manage Subscriptions link can be found on the Dashboard Tab in the "Quick Links" section
or by hovering over the Billing link in the upper right corner of the screen and selecting "Manage Subscriptions" from the drop down menu
Once you are on the "Manage Subscriptions" screen, your current subscription plan Growing Business is highlighted.
Note: If you are on the Dashboard Tab and the following message is visible in the "Mandatory Notifications" section, you may be eligible for a lower annual renewal fee. Click the blue "downgrade your subscription plan" link within the notification for further information.
Once you are on the "Manage Subscriptions" screen, your current subscription plan Growing Business is highlighted.
OR
Click "Select" on the Starter plan and then click "Continue"
The downgrade will be applied for your next account renewal date and in order to confirm the subscription plan change, you will have to click "Continue".
You will receive confirmation that the subscription plan has been changed and your downgrade to a Starter subscription plan will be effective upon your next account renewal and click "Close". You will receive an email "Aspen iRecord® Subscription Plan Changed" that will reiterate all of the information that you received while going through the downgrade process. I have provided an example below:
If you go back to the "Manage Subscriptions" screen, it will show your current Growing Business subscription plan and the date the downgrade will be applied upon next account renewal.
Note: Annual Subscription Plan Fees do NOT include the purchase of a background check
Downgrade Not Available
If a downgrade to the Starter plan is not available, this is due to there being more than 1 active contact with a background check within the Aspen iRecord® account.
